What is C.F.O. ?

The Camps Farthest Out is a Christian organization founded in 1930 by the late Dr. Glenn Clark of St. Paul, Minnesota. More than 70 camps and retreats are held yearly in the USA and Canada, and approximately 130 in other parts of our world.  These camps are dedicated to the adventure of discovering and experiencing that abundant life which Jesus promised. According to Glenn Clark, that life is our rightful heritage when we dedicate body, mind and soul to God through play, work and worship.

At the center of our CFO program is the practice of prayer as taught by Jesus. Small afternoon prayer groups encourage campers to enjoy a new power in prayer and a new oneness with God and with each other.

While prayer is the heartbeat of CFO, creatives are an integral part of the total CFO experience. They offer joyful ways of expressing love for God and are among the most spontaneous and popular parts of camp life.

Each area of the daily CFO program has a specific purpose and is very important to the total plan. Campers are urged to participate in the various activities in order to enjoy fully a wonderful experience in Kingdom living.

[CFO does not conflict with your church loyalty. CFO is nondenominational and each camper is encouraged to faithful participation in the church of his choice.]
